In light of my friends blog post here about her son taking off his hat out of respect for the flag. I have to ask this question. Where has the respect for our flag gone. Why would parents NOT instill in their kids the need to respect the flag of this STILL great nation? It sickens me to the point of wanting to hit someone when I see them not taking off their hat at events when the National Anthem is played sang what have you. It is that flag that stands for the freedom we have do these people not respect that?
Of course I also get a bit ticked when I'm eating out some place and I see a guy sit down at the table and eat and not take his hat off. But ah thats another blog and another can of worms.

I was amazed at how many adults didn't even remove their hats. I was proud of the students involvled in the rodeo. They knew just what to do, how to hold the flags, they knew the American flag should be higher than the one they had, and every boy had his hat across his chest or by his side. The Ga High School Rodeo Association has done a good job in educating our youth about respect for our country and our leaders.
Well just wait till our friend Obama gets into office. We will see more disrespect for this country and our flag I'm sure..
He can't even out his hand over his chest to respect the flag. And to think people want him to run this country that really sticks in my side!
